Clean your Mac up

So you answered a "PHISHING" scam and emailed your computer password to someone, or maybe you are getting POP-UPs You may have installed some Virus/Malware software as well. Please follow these clean up steps:

  1. Run Malwarebytes for Mac to find adware programs running on your computer. You can then remove the problem adware(s). This takes about 5-10 minutes to run.
  2. Run an antivirus program, we suggest Symantec Endpoint Protection to find viruses running on your computer. You can then remove the problem virus(es). This takes about 1-2 hours to run.

  3. Once your computer is "CLEANED UP", we recommend you change all your computer passwords(email,banking,etc).

    If your computer is still having problems, a reformat is needed. This usually takes about 2 hours to complete. Here is an article from Apple to help with a re-install.
